Plane Carrying Emiliano Sala Found; The Former Still Missing!

Despite a major breakthrough in the investigation, David Ibbotson, a 28-year-old former Nantes player and 59-year-old pilot, is assumed dead.

Emiliano Sala was set to begin his new career with Premier League team Cardiff City after signing a record-breaking €15 million agreement with the Welsh club.

Sala boarded the Piper Malibu N264DB with David from Nantes with the hopes of getting his new club out of the relegation zone, but the plane lost control of the air traffic and disappeared near the Channel Islands on January 21.

After two weeks, some respite!

Sala’s family decided to start a crowdfunding page in the hopes of funding a private search after the initial search for the jet was called off three days after the crash due to the search party’s inability to identify any indications of the missing plane.

On Sunday morning, the investigation, which included the private research team as well as the UK Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB), began.

The search for the missing jet was broadened by two vessels, the FPV Morven, led by a private research team, and the Geo Ocean III, led by the AAIB. Following a thorough inspection, David Mearns, the director of the private search team, tweeted the news of the plane’s wreckage being found.

The AAIB ship has stayed at the disaster location and will continue to search underwater. On Monday morning, the operation’s status is scheduled to be made public.
The plane was discovered four days after two seat cushions from the plane were discovered on a beach near Surtainville on France’s Cotentin Peninsula.

Tragic Incident FollowingMaths

Friends and family of the missing footballer have been deeply shaken by this tragic tragedy. It also keeps the emotions of the world’s football fans piqued. With cries of ‘#PrayforSala,’ football fans continue to hope for Sala’s miraculous comeback.

In the meantime, Sala’s previous club Nantes has paid a touching homage to its prolific striker. Apart from that, Cardiff City, the club he was set to join, paid a poignant tribute to the Argentine attacker before of their Premier League match against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Emiliano Sala: Who Is He and What Does He Do?

Sala is a professional football player from Cululu, Santa Fe, Argentina, who was born Emiliano Raul Sala Taffarel on October 31, 1990. Sala began his professional career with San Martin de Progreso at a young age, owing to his strong desire to play football.

He then spent the 2010-11 season with Bordeaux before signing with another League 1 team, Nantes, in 2015. In four years at Nantes, Sala scored 42 goals in 120 games. His plane went missing just as the striker was about to start a new career with Cardiff City in England after a €15 million winter transfer.
