Brian Stelter, an American political journalist who appears on CNN’s Reliable Sources, is a well-known face on the network. He also works as the network’s top media correspondent.

Early Life and Education of Brian Stelter

Brian Patrick Stelter was born in Damascus, Maryland, on September 3, 1985. He is one of Mark R. Stelter and Donna M. Stelter’s three children, with a brother named Jason and another brother. His father used to repair appliances and owned Appliance Works, a one-man operation. He was raised Methodist but is agnostic about religion.

Damascus High School provided Stelter with his high school education, and he graduated in 2003. Following that, he attended Towson University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a Journalism specialization in 2007. He started TVNewser, a blog on the television news industry, as a freshman in college.

Before joining CNN, he worked on a variety of projects.

Brian began his career as a media reporter for The New York Times in July 2007 at the age of 22. He covered TV and digital media for the newspaper’s Business Day and Arts sections.

In November 2013, he joined CNN as the network’s Senior Media Correspondent. Meanwhile, he began hosting Reliable Sources, a network morning discussion show. He has been CNN’s Chief Media Correspondent since October 2018.

The 34-year-old is married to Jamie Shupak at the moment. On February 22, 2014, they married in front of their friends and wedding. The Sheraton Society Hill in Philadelphia hosted the Jewish ceremony. In 2010, the couple started dating.

Jamie, 38, is a morning traffic anchor for NY1 in New York who has been nominated for an Emmy. She is a native of Philadelphia who earned her bachelor’s degree in 2003 from the University of Maryland.

Brian and his wife Jamie have two children that they are very proud of. On May 21, 2017, they had their first child, a daughter called Sunny Ray Stelter.

On August 7, 2019, their second child, a son named Story Moon Stelter, was born. The parents made the decision to raise their children as Jews. The four-person family currently dwells in Manhattan’s Lincoln Square.
